I want to replace my bathroom tile floor with laminate. Do you recommend laying the laminate on the tiles (perhaps with some foam between) or ripping up the tiles?

The floor underneath is T&G softwood (there may also be plywood between).

its best to lay it over the tiles, using a foam underlay ,taking it up it a lot of work

I agree with welsh brickie. Just have a quick inspection of the floor to make sure there are definitely no leaks or any loose tiles. If there are, pop them up and replace with a piece of ply with the correct thickness.
Also check that you will have clearance to open the door!

I need to take it up so it seems so the floor will be nicely on the same level as the next room anyway. Pity, here's to scraping tile cement.
