Cutting Porcelain Mosaic Tiles in Downstairs Toilet

by spock999 » Fri Aug 12, 2016 4:41 pm

Hi,

I am doing a very small tiling job in my downstairs toilet. I am using the Waxman Desert Landscape tiles and they are porcelain 2.5cm square tiles on a 30cm sheet.

I find that I need to cut around 6 of the individual tiles. I have no leeway to adjust spacings. I am having trouble doing so. I have tried a tile nibbler and a tile saw but both are either ruining the finish at the cut edge or cracking the tile so that it is no good.

I have looked online without much success. As it is such a small job (7sheets of tiles!), spending a lot of money on a fancy tile cutter is OTT.

I would be grateful for any advice on how to cut them and give a decent result.

Thanks
