Filling Gap Between Top of Toilet Cistern and Wall

Hi all,

I've got a half inch gap only between the top of the toilet cistern and the wall. Any ideas on the best way to fill it?! Many thanks for any help.

get some wood 1/2" silicone it and slide it in then cover with a strip of upvc
