Could 2 Pressure Reducing Valves in Sequence Cause Issues? All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

At the mains water supply into the house there is a newly fitted pressure reducing valve set to 3 bar.

I want to change the hot water tank to a pressurized system and these have as standard a Cold Water Inlet Control Set, (ie the set combines a pressure reducing valve complete with strainer, non-return valve and expansion relief valve with provision for balanced cold connections, cold water provision will not be used as the cold feed is already balanced). The operating pressure is 3.5 bar.

This means that the hot water feed will go through an second pressure reducing valve. Having two pressure reducing valves plumbed in line on one system could this course problems?

I don't think it will but would like a bit of reassurance.

I don't think so either but you can always remove it and put a manual valve in if necessary.

Lets have a look, Thank you for your response. My notifications was turned and thought better have a check. System is plumbed in and working fine.
