Extractor Fan Hole Under Concrete Lintel

by oindypoind » Fri Sep 09, 2016 11:54 pm

Hi I need to drill through a 100mm hole for a kitchen extractor vent pipe, but I need to place it directly under where a concrete lintel has been added between the main part of our house and the extension. The lintel itself doesn't have much directly above it just flooring of the room above. Is this hole going to cause a problem?

I wouldn't ,its a bit to close to the beam. If you use a carbon filter you wont need to vent it
