Hello Everyone.
I need to turn off the mains water supply to a toilet cistern, to fix a problem with a leaking inlet valve. There is an isolation valve between the mains supply and the flexible hose to the inlet valve. It is an Armitage Shanks S9000 Isolating Plastic Outlet Valve, as pictured.
I tried turning the handle to the right (clockwise), but it is very stiff, and not sure it moved at all. I'm worried that I might do some damage if I force it, plus it is on mains pressure. Few questions please :
- am I turning it correctly i.e. to the right (clockwise) ?
- the handle seems to depress a bit, should I depress it, then turn it ?
I've also included a picture of the valve as installed :
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys..
