In need of a little help.
I have a leaking mixer valve - I think. It's completely ruined the sitting room ceiling but I guess it could always be worse.
I'm not a plumber and know very little about these things - but god loves a trier.....just hates a chancer!
Having discovered the leak, I took the cover plate off the concealed mixer valve. Not sure if it makes any difference but the name on the cover plate is Matki. It appears as if the water is coming from the black section at the bottom - see photo. Having looked online I can't find a replacement - but I might not be looking in the right places.
Anyway, the best I could do was to knock up a 'funnel' to stop the water going down behind the tiles and into the sitting room. Please see photo. All water now hitting the shower tray.
Grateful for any help in telling me what part I need, what's involved in rectifying and is it best left up to someone who knows what they are doing?
