Direct Feed Vented Hot Water Cylinder and Replacement Fittings

by andyspan » Wed Oct 26, 2016 8:43 pm

Hi,
Just fitting a replacement direct feed vented hot water cylinder and need to replace fittings/adaptors for the drain tap. There is large adaptor screwed into tank followed by a reducer fitting and finally drain tap. can anyone advise me on the sizes (thread and diameter) I have to purchase please. The removed cylinder was of 1978 vintage and all the other fittings fit the new tank perfectly, if this helps. Thanks again for any assistance.

lets have a look

Thank you very much for the reply, you're absolutely right! Have purchased a 1" bush down to 1/2" and new tap. The original fitter had used two bushes 1" to 3/4 and 3/4 to 1/2". The bush suggested alleviates one potential leak point!
Thanks again.
