I'm not sure this is the correct part of the forum to post this but I couldn't find anywhere for help with summer houses.

I want to build a large ish summer house. I have come up with a design I like. Having large posts and ship lap set slight further in.

My question is. If I buy 125X125mm posts, can I just concrete them in and hang the ceiling and floor off them? Or are they going to rot quickly?

I will try to share my experience. Were installing terrace on the water and builders insured that if you use a really good special treatment it will be preserved for long time. let wait and see... :)
