Advice on Stud Wall and Hanging Mirror

I have drilled a 9mm hole into the stud (rather than plasterboard) by accident-should I fill the hole with sealant and screw into or fill it with rawplug? I need to hang 21kg mirror

Depends on how you are hanging the mirror? You could just put a 13 to 15mm coach bolt. You need something heavy duty anyway for that weight.
