smell coming from bath Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

I,ve had a new bathroom suite fitted and noticed a smell coming from the bath every time i have a shower, after removing the bath panel i saw that the waste pipes are going slightly upwards. Is there any way i can fix this problem without making another hole to the drain outside because the exit for the waste is higher than the bath waste hole. I never had this trouble with the old bath and it was going out the same way.
Any help would be appreciated

Get the plumber back. The bath needs to be raised or the pipe dropped, there are no other choices unless you want to install a pump (see our project on basement into utility room) to pump the water out.

Thanx for the advice, unfortunately i have no way of getting the plumber back (lost my phone with his number). I,ll try lowering the exit hole on the waste pipe. ps great site sure i,ll be returning in the future
