Hello, I appreciate that this is a DIY forum but it seem maybe the best place to come for some advice.
We will soon be under going a loft conversion and after receiving the drawing we noticed that there might be a problem with the height, the company said you could choose to have telebeams installed at an extra cost but we did not budget for, they have said this should increase the height by a minimum of 50mm. Our loft is fine to carry out a loft conversion as it meets the requirement. The drawings came back with a height of 1860mm which is no good as myself as I'm taller than that, so i raised this with the company and they say it'll be a minimum of 2000mm and with the telebeams it will increase to 2050 min.
Has anyone used telebeams and is it true that they increase the height of the loft conversion? Or would I just be spending money unnecessary as they are not cheap.
Thanks in advance
