Laying Block Paving on top of Heavy Concreate Slabs?

by Martman » Mon Apr 10, 2017 2:20 pm

I cant beleive that no one has aked this before id search!

I have an old (over 25 years) patio made of 600mm sq very heavy concreate paving slabs. Can you use this as a base for laying block paving on?

Thanks

Depends whats under the slabs. You want at least 4/5" of type 1 & about 2/3" of sand for your new blocks. All of this knocked down with a good wacker plate.
