Wood or Tiles Better for new Floor With Underfloor Heating

by marionbo » Tue May 16, 2017 9:23 am

Good morning,
I'm going to renovate the house, and I'd like to make the floor again.
Now since I would like to put floor heating, I would like to know what better to have, whether wood flooring or tiles?

Tips?

Good morning Marion,
Your choice of floor heating requires a careful reflection on the next choice of material to be laid.
Without getting into particular technicalities, I can already assure you that choosing the right floor to lay, optimizing the yield of the plant.
This means that depending on the material you choose, it will be able to vary the expenditure incurred to warm the environment.
Simplicity the propagation of heat (in case of underfloor heating takes place upwards) must be facilitated by the material in which the plant is submerged.
Parquet and ceramic wood-effect have two different renders. Porcelain stoneware (ceramic) has a better "conductivity" than the parquet.

In this way, the economic expense in use may be lower.
This page explains in detail the technical specifications of ceramic wood-effect:

Hope to have helped you
