Are These Missing Tiles on Roof or Something Else? Information, help and tips on many areas of roofing including trusses, tiling, venting, insulation etc....

Hi, I'm looking at a house and have found a house that seems to have an old roof on it. I'd like to ask for opinions about the roof. I pulled the image off Google street view.

- are the two what appears to be gaps missing tiles or some sort of 'breathing' tile?
- just under the satellite dish is a line of black above the drain pipe - is that evidence that there's something seriously wrong and the roof bows?
- would I realistically be needing a new roof?
- what are the two black boxes below the drain pipes - something to do with the phone / power line? (which I believe is from overhead)
