I have an old style central heating system with 2 header tanks one feed the hot and cold water taps the other the central heating.
The boiler heats water in the
1 Hot water cylinder and
2 Radiators to heat the house.
The 2 bathrooms have heated towel rails which are on the same heating circuit as the heating water for the hot water cylinder.
The problem is that the 2 towel rails are 3/4 full of air and I cannot bleed them to get them to fill up with water. The towel rails heat to about 1/4 of the height.
The heating pipe feeding the hot water cylinder has a bleed valve at the end of the pipe. However when I open this bleed valve no air or water comes out.
All the radiators get hot and the hot water cylinder also gets hot so everything is working correctly.
The problem is that the 2 towel rails are 3/4 full of air and the air will not bleed out of them.
