conte board for around a rarely used sink

by woodster » Thu Aug 23, 2007 9:36 am

Hi there, I have a project fitting a cupboard around a toilet sink and wanted to know if its ok to use conte board as the worktop as I think it would be easier to cut out where the sink goes with a jigsaw. Sink is rarely used. Just trying to think of what to use really that would be waterproof enough. any advice much appreciated. cheers

Personally I would steer clear of conti board it tends to absorb water after a while and will eventually break up. You can't beat using a formica style kitchen top.
