New Windows With Manufacture Scratches

by julesdesigner » Fri Sep 01, 2017 2:15 pm

I've just had all new doors and windows fitted, they have done an excellent job and with great aftercare - there was an initial problem with the obscure glass, in that it had short vertical scratch like marks/defects on the bumpy side of the glass. It was promptly changed, however the new glass is the same with less defects - I would like get some advice as to whether this is a common thing, whether defects are usual, and there is a threshold to what's acceptable.
Only other thing, I had the same style (Flemish, I think) obscure glass in an extension six years ago, and there are none of the said marks on those !

The image I've posted is not a pic of the defective glass is an image to show the obscure pattern- couldn't get a decent pic of the problem.
