Design Ideas Needed to Decorate Alcove Walls Your comments on how to design the perfect home - And help others do it !

Hello!

I am hoping someone here will have an idea of how best to decorate our lounge! As you can see from the photo, the wall between the two alcoves is in Laura Ashley dove Grey Josette wallpaper - the issue is our alcoves which come out into the room, and are not recessed like traditional ones.

We are having oka cabinets built into the alcoves to around half height, with two oak shelves above. The issue we have is how to decorate the alcove walls or interior - the white on the outside is too stark but putting the wallpaper into the interior doesn't look right either.

Just looking for some inspiration if anyone can help!

I think the wallpaper example in the third picture makes it feel too busy. I like the idea of the wallpaper being purely in the alcove, it’s a nice way to pull the wall together!
