Hi, we are having issues with a downstairs toilet backing up. However, if the trap is removed from the sink that is situated next to the toilet, the water drains straight away, but as soon as you reconnect, the backing up issue returns when flushing. No other toilets are affected in the house, and we've tried plunging, using rods in the toilet. Unsure as to where this toilet is vented, as can see the main toilet vent/pipe on the outside of the house, but this is no where near this toilet.
We did have a blocked drain outside where the kitchen sink and dishwaster waste goes, but this was cleared by Dyno-rod using a plunder and rod. Could the blockage therefore have just been moved further down the line, as the toilet issue started a couple of days after that?
Thanks
