I plan to install stone cladding to an existing garden wall. The wall measures 5m in length and 1m high. The problem I have is the existing garden wall is made of rock face bricks which are each 450mm in length.
The options for preparation are:
1. render the wall to ensure it is flush prior to laying the cladding.
2.Knock the wall down and rebuild a flush faced wall.
3.Install suitable external ( weather proof) sheet board to the front face of existing the rock face bricks prior to fixing cladding.
Not entirely sure how to approach this project and perhaps there are additional options I have missed. Appreciate positive feedback from the more knowledgeable.
