Condensation in Corner of Room Causing Crumbling Plaster

Post by clueless_spanner » Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:11 pm

Hello,

I wonder if you might be able to help.

I have had two damp surveyors out, and both have said the reason for the flaking and crumbling plaster in the corner of the room is due to condensation.

There is no mould, but the wall in this one area is damp and the paint has cracked and peeled off.

I used a friend's dehumidifier but the humidity was at normal levels. I want to repaint but what shall I do. I have seen anti condensation paints and wondered if they might help.

All help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)
