I have a downstairs toilet which is currently accessed via my utility room. The utility joins onto the kitchen and is seperated from it by a stud / plasterboard wall. I want to take this wall out and have a larger kitchen. Can anyone advise if this is legal, or what I would need to do to comply with building regs.

All I can tell you is that I am having a downstairs toilet fitted "inside the kitchen" with a partition wall and door directly into the kitchen. This was approved by our council's building regs with no problem.

As above, two doors are no longer required but there must be handwash facilites in there .

also you will need to install an extractor fan into the cloakroom
