Rainwater Gutter and Gutter Hedge Hog Brushes

by greengrass » Mon Sep 10, 2018 12:35 am

Do Gutter Hedge hog brushes work? we have moss on roof, not much, but causes a market garden to grow in gutter if left too long between cleans and we get caught with a storm+ the gutter over flows in to soffit, to conservatory which has the cleanest floor in West *******.
My. Idea to install on back gutter of conservatory the brush then each month slide it out and clean it hopfully pulling the trapped moss with it. To save a 77yr old bumming around on shallow bungalow roof (can't afford regular cleaning). Wouldn't be so bad if they were flat but there double roll Roman. Also can afford roof clean and treatment to stop moss growing on roof.

I have the same problem & looked at using the hedgehog, but they are getting rare."only joking" but haven't seen any good write ups on them. I actually had some spare time fitted some larger gutters that still need cleaning out, but not so often. I also had some down pipe filters that stop moss going down the down pipe & i pulled these out as it was quicker to clean out the drain trap at the bottom.,
