We moved into a 1950s built house which has a double brick shed, concrete flat roof, concrete floor. The window is rotting, needs replacing. Some small holes in the brickwork here and there.
I want to make it dry and clean so I can turn it into a hobby shed for my homebrewing.
See pics, a thin layer of internal plastering is covering some rusting steal struts from the reinforced concrete.
I want to do this on a small budget. So I was thinking
• Pour some type of perhaps acrylic sealant on top of the concrete roof and perhaps also felt the roof
• Chip away the internal plaster (that’s OK isn’t it, it wouldn’t contain asbestos?), then maybe a layer of damp proof primer?? Then replaster?
• Replace the window, re-point / seal holes in brick walls, clean, put some damp proof primer internally on the walls and then paint?
How does that sound? Can anyone flesh out my idea, recommend some products, send me backon track if I’ve gone wrong /, missing anything?
