When Something is Wrong With the Structure of Loft Conversion

by NellieAlex » Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:46 am

My domer loft conversion firm stopped stopped works right after the stage when steel beams have been put in place to set up a structure. They say, something is wrong with the angle of the slope on the architectural drawings, and the beams do not fit as they should so extra support is now needed as well as new engineering drawings. They were looking for a number of options to fix the problem and now decided to install temporary metal poles to support the foundation of the loft, from the ground floor up to the roof.
I am puzzled by the situation and can not make any sense of it. I do not know whose fault was in mismatch between the designs and the reality, and I do not know whether the proposed solution is the right one. If you ever come across a similar situation I will be grateful for any thoughts.
