I Cracked Bricks and Mortar Screwing Into Wall All manner of questions and solutions to problems and issues surrounding the subject of brickwork, blockwork and stonework

Bit of a DIY goof here.
I just installed an awning on the outside of our house, screwing into brick on 4th course down from the top of the wall.
12mm plastic plugs and screw bolts.
Tightening the bolts cracked bricks and mortar in 2 of the 3 fixings.
The one close to the corner of the wall looks kind of bad.
