Hello,
We are looking for advice on whether we can remove the below ourselves or require professional help?
We recently moved-in to a new house and would like to remove a built-in TV cabinet in the living room which the previous owners made themselves.
The cabinet currently covers part of the living room floor which we would like to re-carpet, including the area where the cabinet currently is. We then plan to mount the TV onto the alcove wall with an extendable TV bracket.
Our concerns are whether there are gas pipes (there is a gas fire to the left of the cabinet in the living room) or other wiring/piping which would make laying a new carpet difficult.
There is also a hole in the wall which leads to our under-stairs storage which I will need to fix.
Any help/advice with the above would be greatly appreciated.
I was unable to upload images even after compressing the file size but I am happy to email these through to you if you need me to.
Thank you
Louis
