Minivator Stair Lift Batteries Going Flat Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Minivator stairlift batteries keep going flat. Batteries were replaced but they then seem to run flat after a period of time. They seem to be charging when on the charging points but still running flat slowly over a period of time. I have checked voltages of battery and when on charge etc all appears ok

Any ideas???

Bad point on the charge station where it makes 9 time out of 10. Or some one turning it off. Yes seems daft, but I have had just that, dementia means they went to what they had been taught for years, and turned everything off, then they would latter notice it was off and switch it on again.

Most good stair lifts make a sound if left off charge for any time, so normally if some one makes a mistake the sound prompts them to turn it back on again, but also some battery chargers will not recharge batteries once under a threshold voltage.
