Installing Toilet Downstairs but no Route for Extractor fan

by Gavbo » Sun Mar 24, 2019 10:09 am

Hi - I have installed a toilet and basin downstairs, under the staircase. The problem I have is extraction. There is no outside wall to install an extractor fan directly out to. There is only a small window but it goes directly into the garage.

So my question is, how do I install an extractor fan with no direct access to an external wall? Or could I just get away with the small window to the garage?

Thanks

Personaly i would board up the window & run some 4" soil pipe from the back of the board to the outside of the garage & put a decent inline fan in the garage. It will also be a lot more quiter on the fan front when reading the paper. lol
