Kitchen Installation and Tiling Price? Have I Been Ripped off?

by Kitchenqueens » Tue Apr 23, 2019 9:00 am

Hello,

My partner and I have recently had a new B&Q kitchen fitted. The price of the installation , tiling (15m2 floor ) (3m2 walls) window reveal edges etc. Walls prepped filled, skirts sanded and refit. The price for everything was £1500 just labour. The job took 15 working days for 1 man to complete. Do you think we have been ripped off?
The work is of a decent standard and we are happy.
It’s our first home and first kitchen so we very new to prices etc

And insight would be a great help

Not at all, if anything you got an extremely good deal.

Your work man will not be in business long if he undercharges like that.

You have to realise that after expenses he may clear £700.

Would you work for £11,500 per year?

If it was 15 days at £1500.00 i would say you're very lucky. Many self employed would want twice that price. Thats only £100 a day plus his loss on petrol & wear on tools. He is the one that lost out.

An economic price for your installation with minimal travel should be £5,175.
