Removing tile paint prior to retiling Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

PLEASE tell me how to remove tile paint . It is peeled from the bath shower area but sound over the dry walls
I need to remove it all by 17th September when plumber is coming followed by tiler on 18th

I am having the bathroom retiled after the disaster of painting.
BUt they obviously need to be cleaned of paint to ensure the new tiles stick securely.
the old tiles are sound on the wall.
