We've just had our chimney stack removed and the hole in the roof retiled but instead of the same thick black material which is under the existing tiles, they've used a much thinner white material, maybe breathable polyester, so just that and the tiles.. With all the wind this weekend, it flaps about if I'm in the loft, and come winter I expect it will be freezing. Is this normal practice for filling in after removing a chimney?
