Hi all. I had a fairly severe house fire last November. Due to my insurers not 'playing ball', work on the house did not start until late July. The kitchen (the source of the fire) has been replaced but now I have a lot of mould growing there! I know that one source of the problem (because it started before the fire) is my next-door-neighbour (terraced houses) has a load of wood stacked in the corner AND a downpipe that ends in a bend about 5 feet above the ground - I have already spoken to him. That aside, there is also the obvious matter of gallons of water having been sprayed from the firefighters' hoses. Obviously I need to dry out this damp and intend to buy/hire a dehumidifier. However, funds are extremely limited, and I really can't face the thought of having to rip out the new kitchen! Will a dehumidifier do the job? If so, what type is best/quickest/most thorough? Many thanks for your help.
