Hi all.

Just to add to this (very old) subject.. I had a problem with the 24i not firing up. Ignition was going and sparking ok, but no flame. Having read the posts here, i ordered the two relays from Amazon and replaced this evening and now the boiler is working fine.

I've joined the forum specifically to say a huge thanks, i guess primarily to carpman & rjdesigns. Thought the boiler had died as I've had the heating system drained down, painting rads and moving pipes. Attempted to fire back up and nothing.

The relays solved the problem! Thank you !!!

Hi thanks for this very informative thread.
I own 28i RSF and have same problem with the relay/s.

This might sound quite silly, but I got stuck at removing the PCB. Removed the 4 screws securing the back plate that carries the PCB. Unfortunately I can only lift the 3 corners of the PCB and its plate. The end where the supply comes in seems to be unwilling to move.

What am I missing? Looked all around and do not see any more securing screws.

Is there a manual detailing the steps for removing the PCB ?

I would be grateful if someone let me know how to remove the PCB from Worcester 28i RSF.

Hi, I'm a Gas Safe registered engineer and I had this issue on my Boiler at home.
I changed the fan first off as I believed that to be the issue, of course, it wasn't and I stumbled across this forum. I thought id give the Relay a try as what did I have to lose, if it doesn't work I'll get a new board

sorry fothe r massive link but the company RS-online were amazing, i ordered the relay 5pm on wednesday, and I recieved it through my door 9am Thursday, and it was free next day delivery!
Took the board out and un soldered the middle of the 3 relays, put the new one in and it works perfectly now

£9 on a relay vs (at my price) £140 for a new PCB!!
