I have booked a plasterer to come and do our ceiling in a few weeks. I said I’d remove the coving. I’ve started to remove it and worried that it could have asbestos in the coving. Is coving known for having asbestos within it? The material is a light pink between two sheets and looks like there’s glass fibre in it when I shine a light on it. The house was built around 1900 and I don’t know when the previous owners fitted the coving. Any advice would be appreciated.
