Radiator TRV Problem Tado Smart Heating

by cpjames2000 » Sat Nov 23, 2019 4:32 pm

Hi

I have fitted Tado smart heating myself as a diy project and it has all gone very well so far, all working as expected despite a minor panic with the boiler not starting due to a misplaced jumper switch !

So I am gradually adding more Tado trv’s as money allows and have run into a problem. So far all of the trvs have just unscrewed with no need to drain down the system, however one in a newer room started leaking water as i unscrewed it.

So what do I need to add to make this one the same as the others that are dry and I assume I will now need to drain down the system to do this ?

If anyone could help in terms of what I need to add to the end of the rad as the Tado trv’s are not ‘wet my devices as far as I can tell!

Thanks

Chris
