Re-Rendering and Drainage Quote Help for Sorting Damp Issue

by Ork1927 » Mon Nov 25, 2019 11:24 am

Hi

Not sure If I'm allowed to ask this, but having an issue with damp in our kitchen following an new fitting.

We've been told we need outside re-rendered as blockwork at bottom is exposed and also recommended a drainage system at the base (currently chippings and a poorly fitted pipe into drain from kitchen).

The kitchen company have put us on to a partner builder to do this work and they will fix the interior. We've been quoted £2,000 for
Remove existing render – to window height
Prepare exposed brickwork, Apply 2 Coat Monocouche system, Form plinth and drip bead
Install ACO Drainage system in level with existing patio – tap into waste line
Apply cement filler between patio and ACO drainage

It is about a 5 meter run - does this seem reasonable - we are struggling to get anyoen else to quote and would rather use someone connected to kitchen company in case of future issues. So trying to figure out if this price is reasonable.
