Laying Chipboard on Chipboard to Level Floors

by curtlyb » Tue Feb 18, 2020 3:59 pm

Hi,
After a new extension we now have a lounge floor 18mm lower than the kitchen extension so i'd like to re-floor the lounge with new Chipboard on top of the existing Chipboard to make it level. Question is, which is the preferred method of securing the boards, would it be screws, wood-glue or both ???
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Screws at regular intervals. Don't use glue, any warping of the boards and the glue will often 'click' under the floor.
