Hello,
I have problems with penetrating damp after driving rain on the gable end wall of my property. The result is damp patches appearing on the internal wall downstairs. The property is 70s brick with a cavity wall that has been previously filled with cavity wall insulation. The brickwork and pointing are in reasonable condition.
I'm considering applying StormDry Masonry Protection Cream (http://www.stormdry.com/products/masonr ... tion-cream) to try and stop water penetrating this wall. From my research it seems like this product should help however I'm wondering if there are any risks of applying it that I might not have considered.
Does anyone have experience of using this or similar products in this situation? Do I risk making the problem worse or is it a low risk solution that's worth a try?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
