builder wanted in enfield, n.london

by v-technician » Mon Sep 10, 2007 8:57 am

Hi all could anyone recommend a competant and reasonably priced builder in the enfield area?

I want to knock a load bearing wall down between the kitchen and dining room. and brick up the two doors in the kitchen (one to go into kitchen and one to go into garden).

i was quoted £1700 by some random builder. this seems expensive to me, what do you guys think?

thanks

£1700 seems a reasonable price, your looking at 3 maybe 4 days work for two men.Not forgetting the hire of a skip, you'll need an r.s.j (girder) bricks, sand, cement, plasterboard, timber to make good the floor where the wall was removed, and the list goes on.
