Fixing 25KG 55 inch TV to Wall

by Hms151291 » Mon Mar 30, 2020 4:06 pm

When I tap my wall it sounds slightly hollow (no cracking and no bubbles). I want to fix a 55 inch tv (approx 25kg) to the wall with a swivel mount so it can move away from the wall. What would the best way be to do this? Do you think I could just use a normal mount or should I do something different to support it better?

I know without seeing the actual wall it's difficult but just some general direction would be useful.

Thanks.

Hi hms151291,
The issue is not the mounting but what wall fixings to use.
You need to determine whether you are fixing into a stud partition wall, or a masonry wall - possibly dry lined.
Without this information we cannot advise.
