Hanging Mirror on Crumbly Plaster Wall

by Cwill » Sun Apr 05, 2020 6:04 pm

I am trying to hang a mirror having just decorated a room in our house. When we drilled into the wall a load of plaster crumbled away and we’ve previously had issues with rawl plugs just pulling plaster away. What should we hang it with?

Hi cwill,
You will need to drill through the plaster and into the brick/blocks behind it. You can then use plastic plugs but use screws heavy enough not to bend in the plaster layer.

Why need to drill a fresh wall?
Leave it...I mean no need to drill anymore.
You can yus this removable adhesive wall hangers. It is able to carry 5 Lbs. I got it from amazon. You may try this... If it doesn't work then try to drill.
