Help Needed on How to Seal Window Frame to Brick / Concrete

by Diynoob » Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:33 pm

Hello, first post, wondering if someone can help me with some advice:

I'm not an experienced DIY'er at all, and am confused about my options to seal a gap I have between my wooden sash window frame and the exterior brick wall (the edges I would be sealing are mortar or concrete I think!).

There are plenty of caulk options out there that I can find but the problem is that the gap between the window and the wall ranges from about 3mm to about 10/15mm in a few places which is too wide to fill with silicone caulk?

Any help at all would be gratefully received!

Thanks.

Hi diynoob,
Buy or better still borrow some expanding foam for the larger gaps. Once set, trim and use silicone caulk to give a neat finish.
