Hi. I am currently renovating my bathroom and unearthed some pipes coming out of the floor, these have now been redirected underneath the floorboards but one of them is a tad high and catches the floorboard when you walk on it. I will be changing all of the floorboards to marine plywood then backer board on top in preparation for tiling. My question is can I build the surrounding joists up by a few mm in order to stop this happening? If so what’s the best way to do it? I’m only talking 3mm in order to clear the pipe so not a massive amount. Apologies if this is in the wrong place!
