Flag Stone Patio Laying Question

by mallinss » Fri May 08, 2020 5:01 pm

I’m digging out for a 10x6 patio. I’ve taken the top off and the ground beneath is very compact and made up mostly of what looks like 60-70% crusher run mixed in with soil. Anyone know if this is this going to give me a solid enough base for flagging on sand? Cheers

Hi mallinss
If you can dig the heel if your shoe into the surface it probably need more compaction but since you are laying on sand you could lay the slabs and in time relay ones that sink.
