I installed the light outside my attached garage on a brick pier next to my house wall which is running 9 inches away along side the brick pier but trying all adjustments it will only come on when it is dark but never turns off after a while. I have tried all settings but without success, so I am now wondering if the static brick wall is being detected and so stopping it turning off?
As the brick wall is motionless obviously can it effect the sensor on my light.
Any help or information would be helpful thanks.

Is there a setting on the pir for dusk to dawn operation?

Thanks for your answers but I have not explained it well enough.
The light can be adjusted to come on when dark and off in daylight but will come on again in the daylight and stay on, so I was wondering if the brick wall close to the side of it is being detected which I thought was making it come on again in daylight. It was either that or it was faulty.

Hi jeff5143,
Assuming that it is not installed in a dark corner (with an overhang above it) and you have an infrared pir rather than a microwave one it is likely that the unit is faulty.
