I'm trying to replace a shower riser and getting this off has me flummoxed. The "cap" against the limestone has no grub screws in the side and appears to be a single metal piece with the stem which in turn is then joined rigidly to the rail. Nervous levering of the cap away from the tiles achieved nothing apart from a small chip in the stone and a hard stare from the wife.
What have I missed?
