Sash Window Installation not level

by WindowCustomer » Sun Jul 05, 2020 7:45 pm

Hi,

I am currently in the process of having professionally fitted windows and doors installed in my house. One of the sash windows has been installed and it is not level. I have discussed this with the installers at length and they insist it is not possible to install the window in straight. The reason I have been given is that the windows are installed into the frame and then have to be adjusted in order to ensure that the operation of the windows opening and closing is smooth. I don't understand why this would be the case. The supplied window and frame is smaller that the hole in which it was put in. Surely the windows can be installed completely horizontally and there should therefore be no adjustment required.

Here is a link of the finished window.

I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this. The company is Fensa registered.

Many thanks,

WindowCustomer

Hi windowcustomer,
I cannot see the issue from the picture you have posted, perhaps you can highlight where there is a problem.
