Telephone wire inside burglar alarm too short Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hi there

I recently opened up my burglar alarm control panel unit to change the battery. However in doing so the telephone wires which are connected were pulled out of the blue terminals. I now can’t get them back in as there is not enough slack.

How can I extend the wires? There are two wires, one is red and one is green. But looking at other cables I find instructions for brown green etc

The colour of the wire is irrelevant. The important thing is cable sizes must be the same.
